Ari Hoenig is an internationally acclaimed Jazz drummer/composer/educator based in New York City, New York.
As an educator, Ari teaches privately and is on faculty at New York University and The New School for Social Research in New York. He gives clinics and lectures at music schools and universities worldwide.
A master of rhythms, metric modulations and exploring the melodic possibilities of the drumkit in a jazz setting, Ari will be discussing and dissecting how to develop your rhythmic vocabulary with groupings, polyrhythms, metric modulation, displacements and more.
So, if you want to get more creative with your improvisations, become a more solid player and/or avoid getting lost during metric modulations then this class is for you - regardless of your instrument or genre.
