Miri Kim – Classical guitar, Acoustic guitar, and Ukulele; Pop and Pleasure Piano
Born in South Korea, Miri Kim began to play the guitar at age 12. She studied Classical Guitar at Capilano University and the University of British Columbia. Miri is a very creative and inspiring teacher, her students have performed in New York – Carnegie Hall and Times Square. She takes a unique approach towards each individual student. Her education and nursing background coupled with her Music Education has made her a unique, compassionate, and dedicated teacher. Students of all ages love studying with Ms. Miri Kim. Prepares students for RCM exams, radio podcast performances, and yearly recitals. She has studied with one of the most world-renowned guitarists – Stephen Boswell. As well attended masterclasses with pianists that studied with the Juilliard Faculty of Music.
Always striving to keep updated with the newest pedagogical techniques. Currently, Music Instructor at St. John’s Academy – a private school in Vancouver, BC.
