Graig Robertson

Composer / Guitarist / Music Producer / Saxophonist / Sound Designer

Graig Robertson has been a professional musician in several capacities over the course of his career, applying his talents as a guitarist, saxophonist, composer, sound designer, and arranger. His work can be heard in a variety of acoustic and electronic styles for concert, radio, film, and multi-million selling video games.

He has played guitar in many rock/R&B bands, studied classical guitar with Karl Korytko and Alan Reinhart as well as jazz guitar with Ron Samworth and Tony Koch.

Graig earned a diploma in ‘Jazz Saxophone Performance’ from Vancouver Community College where he was also awarded the ‘Bob Smith Memorial Scholarship’ for the most promising Jazz performer. Graig furthered his Jazz studies with another year in the Jazz Degree Program at Capilano College. He then went on to complete his ‘Bachelor of Music in Composition’ at the UBC School of Music studying with Stephen Chatman and Keith Hamel.

As a performer on both guitar and saxophone, Graig has played live and studio dates with many groups in many different styles including Hidden Forbidden, Ache Brasil, Hans Staymer, South African Big Band Revival, World Jive, Ezeadi Onokwulu, and One Human Race, Mr. Scene and Deborah Ledon.

Graig can also be heard on music he has composed and produced for syndicated radio, independent film and extensively in video games such as ‘Mario Super Strikers’, ‘Hulk’, Dark Angel, Jackie Chan’s Stuntmaster to name a few.

Graig is currently the guitarist/saxophonist and arranger for Vancouver based Cuban singer Deborah Ledon and her band.
