Song Writing Program:
The Song Writing Program is designed for song writers who wish to be introduced to different aspects of song writing and the different approaches to creating your own song. Focus will be primarily to create and complete your own song by the end of the term.
- Understand the different formats of creating and writing your own song
- What are the approaches of song writing and how do they influence the process?
- Understanding the verse, chorus and bridge elements of a song and how do they contribute to build a synergistic effect on the final music
- Develop creative writing ideas
- How to effectively tell a story with a song and determine how the pace of the storytelling influences the elemental structure of a song
- What is sampling music? How can sampling be used to help you in creating your song?
- How to create music for your lyric and melody using Apple's Garage Band
- Learn the business side of song writing such as music royalties, publishing and split sheets
