This program is designed for anyone that loves acting from Shakespeare to modern-day plays, skits, commercials, monologues and comedy. The Acting Program will help all musicians at any stage in their musical career. All musical pieces of any genre have a story and every story contains drama and emotional drive. By learning these practical, hands-on acting techniques all musicians will broaden their scope as a performer and help escalate their musical pieces to the next level by captivating their audience on a magical journey.
- Character development studies to create realism and believability in your characters
- Voice-over for recording – learn practical techniques to voice-over and avoid the pitfalls of common bad habits in voice-over work
- Build self-confidence onstage and offstage – this is an excellent skill to learn for all musicians and performers
- Memory skills – learn good memory techniques to memorize scripts, plays and audition pieces
- Language skills
- Learn to express the crucial element of emotions in your character without overacting. Learn to bring out the inner emotions within yourself yet still be a master of your character and emotions
- Organizational skills
- Body language in acting and development of utilizing body language in a scene to help you "be in the moment"
- Secondary objectives – learn how to build secondary objectives and actions while still maintain your scene's main objectives and your super objectives. These secondary objectives will help you build the scene and create realism for yourself and the audience
