Vancouver Oakridge Music Jam Live Performance by young, talented musicians

It's a performance party for O Music (Oakridge Music Studios's) students. You can invite your friends and family for an event of music of all kinds – Classical, Jazz, Pop, and a little Rock.

Great performances take practice, skill and experience. And not simply any experience but LIVE experiences whereupon the young artistic musician may gain instant feedback and, consequently, immediate gratification for their work and performance.

Junior Spotlight is an opportunity for our artists, musicians, singers, actors to showcase their performances; these will not be polished performances, rather "working" performances. Whether it is preparing for an RCM, London College, Conservatory Canada exam or a Starbucks performance (yes, Oakridge Music Studios's students perform regularly at Starbucks in Kerrisdale, Vancouver);or creating musical pieces for CD projects or prepping for international concert projects, every musician can and should work on their performance techniques. As we all know playing in our living rooms at home is a little different than performing at a recital, concert hall, an exam or festival. Even performing for your teacher at your music lesson is a drastically different experience than performing for your friends and family at home. Hence, the common remarks, "It sounds better when I play it at home" or "I played it right at home when I was practicing."

We encourage our young artists / musicians by creating a fun atmosphere via popular pizza parties and events or creating scenarios that they can relate to. Through various enjoyable activities, Oakridge Music Studios teaches them how to love their music and have fun with their friends. It all starts with good practice habits.
